PROJECT: ARCHIVE(D)
Introducing another "project" for the blog.
Dear Reader,
As mentioned in my previous travel post, I'm digging through my archives as a way to backup photos and write about my adventures from years past. I'll call it: PROJECT ARCHIVE(D). My criteria for posting are:
- An international trip
- A significant day trip
- A place or memory worth recording
Last year, I started backing up and deleting pictures from Google Photos to free up space. Since I didn't do that for the last decade, it became a time-consuming process, so I kind of gave up.
However, this rekindled interest isn't just for organizational purposes: I also want to populate my travel map with as many posts as possible from the places I've visited.
Since I'm already posting about trips from a few years ago, why not from a decade ago?!
My earliest photos saved on Google Drive were from 2014. I've managed to backup and delete all of those from my phone, so I won't post any from that year, because that would mean having to add them back to my computer again.
I also started backing up and deleting photos on my retired Flickr account. I won't be sharing photos from then either, mostly because I don't know where the originals are anymore, and the pictures I uploaded to Flickr were from ~20 years ago (jfc), and last I checked the photo quality was really bad.
TL;DR I've found another way to turn an organizational task into yet another blogging prompt.
Signed,
