MONDAY CLEANING: DINING TABLE (STILL UNPACKING)
Weekly cleaning series.
Monday cleanings are back and I'm already tired. I got out of bed really late today and still wanted to check on "my guys" (aka Tomodachi Life). That's been my routine now: Get out of bed, wash face, make breakfast, and play Tomodachi Life until there are no more notifications from my Miis. Then I continue on with my day.
Weekly clean
I finally managed to clean my suitcase and place it under my bed. It only took 3 days.
See you next year, probably.
However, the dining table is still cluttered with the remnants of my travels. So today, I will put the items back in their proper places and reset the table with my summer decorations. (I know I just redecorated, but I was late with the spring decor). We should also remove the cat fur from the seat cushions and clean the surrounding area in general.
Tasks before cleaning
- Write down to-dos for the day
- Resize photos
- Tidy up desk
- Change out of pjs
12:46–12:59
Before.
We need to eat lunch soon so I only cleaned the left side of the table. I put all my hair accessories and jewelry back in their rightful places. This took almost 10 minutes! This is why a 5-minute reset clean is impossible for me. How fast are people moving? Do they have super speed or am I just super slow?
After.
Tasks before cleaning
- Lunch
- Laundry
- Body-doubling call with Usagi
15:01-15:20
The table is useful again.
Put away all of my things and airing out my pants before storing them. It's so fucking hot in here! We only have a fan in the living room and I'm in the office right now.
Tasks before cleaning
- Add photos to post
- Pay bills

My "summer" tablecloth, though it kind of doesn't go with my usual color palette.
I forgot to note when I started, but given my track record, this probably took 10 minutes. Next phase is decorating, which is the fun part!
Tasks before cleaning
- Finish blog post
- Transfer money
- Hang up laundry
19:03-19:10 DONE!
Ta da! Summer decor is out.
I'm done! Did a lot of admin stuff in between and made my schedule for the week. It also helped that my friend needed a body double so I had a silent video call with her (and then we caught up a bit afterwards). I managed to finish a travelog too, which I've queued up for tomorrow so I can take my time writing about Day 4.
Time to boil dumplings for dinner and watch Invincible or something.
