LONDON 2015-01-20
My 2015 London trip, part 4. Read part 3 here.
ARCHIVE(D): JANUARY 20, 2015
Moments before work
Enjoying the view from my hotel and a full English breakfast. If I made a top-5 list of my favorite breakfast dishes, a full English would be on there.

I love London architecture. Growing up in a place where the oldest buildings were around 100 years old, anything beyond that was enchanting. I love how the many eras coexist.

Lunch
Phat Phuc Noodle Bar. I just checked and it's still here. :)
This Vietnamese restaurant bar was around the corner to the office so it was a popular lunch destination. Coming from Hong Kong, I thought the food was mid. Now, I'm sure I'd find it to be perfectly satisfying.
After work
Exploring Trafalgar Square and the surrounding area.

Chinatown
The Chinatown in LA has less obvious Hong Kong references, or maybe back then I didn't notice because I hadn't lived there yet. I was delighted by the HK representation in London, which makes sense since it was once a British colony.

Dinner @ Koya
According to the menu, this should be Niku Hiya-Atsu.
I still remember this meal because I left feeling disappointed. I am a big fan of udon, and in Hong Kong, we had an amazing choices. I remember finding the broth to be lacking. It was pricey and not worth it. I wonder if I would still feel the same today, but there are so many delicious eateries in London that I would rather try a different place instead.
FIN.
