WEEK 2
German class starts up again this coming Wednesday. I'm starting the last module of B2, which is the exam preparation course. It's one month long. I'm feeling nervous about it because I don't think that I am B2 level at all, and I'm expected to take the certification exam by the end of it?!
I don't feel ready, but then again, I haven't pushed myself to study or even speak German on a daily basis. We even bought a game that would help me practice German more called, Erzählt euch mehr, which translates to, "Tell us more." It was Daniel's idea, because he's somehow more shy to speak German with me even though he's a native speaker. He claims it's because he's used to conversing with me in English, so it "feels weird."
I'm glad that class starts on Wednesday rather than Monday, when the school opens, because that means I get 2 extra days to faff about. No no, I actually have things to do!

What's also adding to the anxiety is that my next three weekends—the remainder of January—are BUSY with social activities. It's all things that I want to do, but I don't like having a weekend where there isn't much at-home-doing-nothing time. It makes me nervous. I have choir rehearsal on the 18th, then I'm in London for a long weekend (this I'm not nervous about), and finally I'm spending the last day of January/first day of February in Zürich for back-to-back choir rehearsals. I'm staying overnight that weekend, and while I'd much rather sleep in my own bed, the late night/early morning commute isn't worth it.
I'm taking it easy today to mentally prepare for the week to come, and I'll have to think of a coping strategy for the upcoming weekends. Though maybe I'll realize it's not bad at all and I was, as usual, fussing over nothing.
In other news, we have been plowing through Severance! It's such a great show. We finished season 1 last week and are now onto season 2, which we'll probably finish this coming week.
