2025 IN PICTURES
2 photos highlighting every month. (I couldn't pick just one.)
January

Decided to start dressing up even if I'm not going anywhere "important."
Decorating for the Year of the Snake. I also started to put more effort into decorating for the holidays, because it makes me so happy, if you couldn't tell by my last posts. 😆
February
Life comes at ya fast.
One day you're seeing Atsuko Okatsuka LIVE in Zürich...
...And the very next day your uterus says "Sayonara, sucker."
March
Finally allowing Boba to sit on me as she was banned for over a month since we didn't want any accidents during the early stages of healing.
Creating a joint office space. Daniel's desk had been in the bedroom because we thought it'd be better to have separate working spaces.
April
TRIGGER WARNING: Spider in next image.
Meeting Bob, an orb-weaver that entered my life (I tried to free it but it snuck back into the apartment by clinging onto my robe lol).
I eventually grew it to twice the size and it lived outside on the balcony for months. I would feed Bob water when I saw that it was dehydrated and sneak some bugs onto its web. Eventually, Bob relocated downstairs where it most likely got killed by the janitor because he was probably like, "Damn, that's a huge-ass fucking spider."
Finally finishing Pokémon Violet!
May
Seeing Alok LIVE in Zürich! If anything, the comedy gods blessed me in 2025.
Hanging out with Pat in Paris! Here he is, in front of his favorite painting, "The Raft of Medusa" by Théodore Géricault (1818-1819).
Paris will get its own post at some point.
June
Visiting the Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach and hearing the eerie calls of storks.
Watching Queer Chor Schweiz perform at Neubad!
July
When the summer sun hits the disco ball. I love it so much.
My July-August manicure. Everyone thought the fish was a decal, but nope, my nail tech painted that!
August
On this day at the park, a tiny jumping spider climbed onto my leg. I'd never seen one in the wild before! So I emptied out my water bottle and took it home. I let it loose on my balcony, never to be seen again. 😭
Gorgeous sunset. I love living here.
September
Visiting Bali Bird Park, quite possibly one of the best days of my life. Many birds landed on my head that day!!
The venue at Ami and Russell's second wedding. An absolute stunner. 10 out of 10, no notes.
Bali will get its own post, eventually.
October
Discovering the tarot cards I bought on a whim matched a dress I already own. That was cool.
I just love this photo of Boba.
November
The beginnings of our board game shelf. It's a lot more populated now, and we have yet to play any of these games. 😆
Finally acquiring these Christmas stars to hang from my window! I've been wanting to do this for years, but they were always sold out at Ikea.
December
My first piece of original art! "Strawberry Fields" by Kim Migliore. She's a good friend of mine, the one who gave birth on the day of my surgery.
Ice skating with Daniel and Viki. I don't think I'm meant to do this anymore. My left knee was swollen for 2 days and I didn't even fall down.
2025 felt bad, but these pictures remind me that I actually had a pretty good time despite everything that's happened. That's what pictures are for, right? To remind us of the happier times, because our brains tend to forget that.
